SYNOPSIS:
Astrid is a widow who lives in an idyllic Swedish town. One day she finds a dark-skinned boy on the town square. The boy carries a bow and arrows, and has small wings growing on his back. He calls himself Cup.

Believing that he is an orphan from Africa, Astrid takes him home, feeds him, washes him, and makes him clothes from her late husband’s suits. What she does not know is that the Cup is on a secret mission.

Astrid adopts Cup and makes sure that he starts school. By the end of Cup’s first day at school, he has already managed to shot a boy with an arrow, charm a girl, and have a talk with the headmaster.

Being grounded by his adoptive mother does not stop Cup from flying out into the woods and play with wild life.

Returning to his room, Cup realizes he has forgotten about his mission. He rushes into Astrid’s bedroom only to find death hovering above her. To win over death, Cup is forced to sacrifice his cupid-nature. But what he wins is a human home.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Cup, which is short for Cupid is a film that offers the kind of adventure, sense friendship and love we used to get from the ’80s movies like ”Goonies” and ”ET”. Only this time we are transported into the Swedish small town milieu, with all its peculiarities and sensibilities.

”Cup” is a movie for all ages, with carefully selected environments and actors who create the adventure. We all have a child within us and
this film will attract both adults and children.
